Lachie’s family and friends dedicate their lives to raising awareness of road safety so that no other family should have to endure such an enormous devastating loss.
Our vision is to
Create a community of care and spread kindness and love in Lachie’s name.
Raise funds to support the Amber Community to provide counselling and support to road trauma victims.
Promote the courage to speak up, build confidence and encourage change in numbers.
Promote road safety and driver education programmes and instil the importance of the personal responsibility we have as drivers.
Create a community of support for people living with grief.

MENTONE GRAMMAR OVAL (VENICE STREET ENTRANCE)
The Lachlan McLaren Foundation was created in 2023 as a legacy to our son Lachlan who was killed in 2021 by a drugged driver in Parkdale. The Foundation aims to raise money to support the Amber Community Road Trauma Services and other charitable causes in our local community such as under privileged and struggling families.
Our first community event is Lachies Walk. The walk is a 6km loop along the Mentone foreshore walking track, with a BBQ and raffle available after the walk.
Registration $30 per person or $100 for a family 4+.
The first 250 people will receive a red LMF cap.

For the past two years Lachie’s family and friends have walked in his memory and will continue to do this each year to keep his memory alive and raise funds to help families suffering similar trauma to ours.
