Lachlan McLaren Foundation Partners with TeamSports4All to Transform Lives Through Sport

The Lachlan McLaren Foundation (LMF) is proud to announce a partnership with TeamSports4All (TS4A), donating $1,500 to fund the pilot program supporting one teen with one year of representative-level basketball.

TS4A believe no child should miss out on the opportunity to play team sport, and by funding the rep basketball program pilot – a local teenager will now have the opportunity to participate at rep level thanks to the LMF. This act of kindness is a meaningful way to honour Lachie’s memory. Lachlan loved basketball.

This meaningful partnership between LMF and TS4A means a local teen who receives an invitation to play representative-level basketball this year will no longer have to turn down this incredible opportunity. Full financial support will be provided to cover all registration fees, uniforms, and equipment – as well as providing personal support to help overcome any obstacles along the way.

Simon Davie, CEO of TS4A says “this child would never have been able to play rep level basketball without the support of the Lachlan McLaren Foundation and the opportunities that lie ahead for them, are because of your generosity. Thank you for making this possible”

Children from disadvantaged backgrounds often miss out on the joy and benefits of playing team sports due to financial constraints. TS4A helps families experiencing financial hardship to get kids (aged between 5-18) playing sport by helping out with the costs to participate. Find out how you can get involved with TS4A.

The Lachlan McLaren Foundation was created to honour the memory of a very special young man whose life was suddenly and brutally taken from him on his 16th birthday, 15th August 2021.
